The circular trail starts at Denkmalsplatz in Valbert and follows the triangle pointing upwards. After a few meters through the village of Valbert, the trail climbs quite steeply uphill over the Koppenkopf in the direction of Nordhelle. After crossing the L707, the gradient becomes a little less steep so that you can enjoy the fantastic view to the full. The path now leads up to the top of Nordhelle, the highest elevation in the Märkischer Kreis. Here, next to the Robert-Kolb-Turm, you will find a restaurant and a playground. From here, it is also worth taking a look at the other side in the direction of Herscheid. On good days, you can watch the paragliders here. The trail now follows the Höhweg for a while through forests down to the village of Mittelhagen and back to the center of Valbert, the starting point of the circular trail.
