Day tip 1: Discover nature and history

Start with a visit to the Attendorn stalactite cave (Atta-Höhle) in Attendorn, an impressive natural wonder. Afterwards, the Biggolino funicular will take you from the cave to the Biggedamm landing stage on Waldenburg Bay. Take a trip on the Biggesee passenger boat to enjoy the landscape from the water. Afterwards, you can explore the Südsauerland Museum to learn more about the history of the region.

Day tip 2: Adventure and relaxation

Visit the Biggesee climbing park in Olpe for fun and sporting challenges in the treetops. Afterwards, relax with a snack or drink at the facility. Enjoy a summer afternoon at the Sonderner Kopf bathing area and hire a boat at the NamaSteg and explore the Biggesee from the water in a kayak, pedal boat or stand-up paddleboard. In the evening, you can relax with a cozy barbecue.

Day tip 3: Nature and creativity

Take part in the guided drawing course in Drolshagen and let nature inspire you to create a wonderful work of art. Then explore the famous hedge maze. Enjoy refreshments at the Gut Kalberschnacke restaurant, for example. Afterwards, hire rowing boats or SUPs directly at the Gut Kalberschnacke campsite and explore the lake on your own.

Day tip 4: Animal adventures and fun and games

Start the day in Meinerzhagen at Alpakahof Blomberg or Bergwaldhof, where children and adults can get up close to the animals (advance booking required). Afterwards, visit one of the beautiful playgrounds such as the Ihnewiesen playground, the playground in Otto-Fuchs-Straße or the Volkspark Meinerzhagen. Afterwards, head to Meinerzhagen's disc golf course, where the whole family can have fun and show off their skills.

Day tip 5: Fun and relaxation

Take a 26 km cycle tour through the Großmicketal and the nature adventure trail near Wenden. Visit the historic Wendener Hütte, a fascinating industrial monument, and enjoy the view from the Wenden Heid platform. Crown the day with a meal, for example at the Jasmin Chinese restaurant.
