The Rothaargebirge is the focus of this long circular tour through Sauerland, Siegerland and Wittgensteiner Land. It is not specially signposted, but is made up of existing cycle routes in the region: SauerlandRadring, Ruhr-Sieg-Radweg, Sieg-Radweg, Lenneroute. In Schmallenberg you can choose: Either the SauerlandRadring through the Lenne valley or via Eslohe to Finnentrop.

Safety guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network, among other places
